Last month, national badminton player An Se-young publicly criticized the Korea Badminton Association’s management. 📢 In an interview after winning gold at the 2024 Paris Olympics, she expressed her disappointment over the association’s lack of proper care during the seven years she dealt with injuries. She even considered retiring from the national team and skipping the Olympics. 💔 Following her comments, the Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism launched an investigation and found that the association had embezzled and misused around 300 million won in government subsidies. 😦 They also uncovered major issues with how the national team was being run and announced plans to abolish a regulation that limited non-national team players from participating in international competitions.

November is fast approaching, which means one of Korea’s biggest exams, the CSAT(College Scholastic Ability Test), is just around the corner. The CSAT measures students’ academic potential for university. 📝 This year, approximately 520,000 people have registered for the exam, and among them, 160,000 are retakers, or what’s known as ‘N-susaeng.’ 😮 This is the highest number in 21 years, since the 2004 exam. Many believe the increase is due to students aiming for top-tier medical schools, as the government has announced plans to expand the number of medical school admissions next year.

1. Stand with your feet together and hands clasped in front of you, left hand over the right.
2. Raise your clasped hands to eye level, then lower them as you bend at the waist.
3. Kneel down, first with your left knee, then your right.
4. Place your hands on the floor and bow your head until your forehead touches your hands.
5. Hold the position briefly, then rise by reversing the steps.

For Women🙇🏻‍♀️:

4. 손을 바닥에 대고 이마가 손에 닿을 때까지 머리를 숙입니다.
5. 잠시 그 자세를 유지한 후, 반대 순서로 일어납니다.

여성의 경우🙇🏻‍♀️:

1. 발을 모으고 손을 앞에 모아 오른손이 왼손 위에 오도록 합니다.
2. 손을 어깨 높이까지 올렸다가 허리를 굽히면서 내립니다.
